We celebrate the birth of the Holy Guru Padmasambhava at the typical monastery of Jangchub Choling in Hemis. The colorful parade is subjected to fervent preparations. Hemis is 45 km from Leh, the capital of neutral international. The festivities include dance, music, prayers, shows masked and a mixture of colors will be seen everywhere. The landscape of the otherwise quaint and rugged of Ladakh becomes vibrant and chaotic during this festival of the monastery.
The birth of Guru Rimpoche also known as Lord Padmasambhava is the occasion that is celebrated during the Hemis Festival. The spiritual leader is given as savior of the local. The leader of tantric Buddhism, it is said, who introduced Buddhism in the Himalayan kingdom since the 8th century. The highlight of the festival is the dance performances and theatrical plays of the Lamas, disguised. The Dancers masked represents good prevailing over evil. The participants in the performance fascinating and are dressed in bright costumes and masks bright. Each mask has its place in the legends of Tibetan and Buddhist. The aspects of good and evil, are
designed as the humble faces of the divine, animals, skeletons, and numerous frightening stickers. The dancers can be seen with the movements of the slow dance and imaginative, earthy expressions. The dance performance “the masquerade is created on a music mix with the sounds of drums, trumpets, and cymbals. The famous dance of Padmasambhava, the highlight of the dance shows the victory of the demons route. The dances are enchanting as the divine is represented, and it is said that is purifying your soul.
Every 12th year is known as the Tibetan Year of the monkey, the Hemis Monastery Festival takes a turn of good luck. The deployment of the largest Thangkha (12 meters) from the second floor of the monastery for the world to see. The writing is worthy of being seen as it is gently preserved. Inside the monastery and outside, during the festival, check out the stalls. From the delicious flavors of the Kingdom of the mountain to the extraordinary handicrafts of the region, the view is wonderful. The residents of remote villages, adventurers, photographers, and travelers make their way here to be part of the festival.
Based on Tibetan and Buddhist Legends, Hemis Festival is said to have its origins back in 8thCentury. Lord Padmasambhava also is known as Guru Rimpoche is believed to be the local savior who banished demons and evil spirits.

Upon arrival at Delhi, you meet our representative and escorted to the Hotel. You are welcomed in the hotel in Traditional Indian style on arrival and check into the hotel. Overnight is at hotel.
After breakfast in the hotel, we leave for a city sightseeing tour of Old Delhi & New Delhi. we leave for our city tour of New Delhi, visit Qutab Minar, the tapering monument Our next stop is Humayun’s Tomb, built by his senior wife and mother of Emperor Akbar This is the earliest example of Mughal architecture in India. It is believed that it was this mausoleum, which inspired Shah Jahan to build the Taj Mahal. We drive pass the India Gate, Presidential Palace, and Parliament House. In the morning, we leave for city sightseeing tour of Old Delhi – which came into prominence when Shah Jahan moved his capital from Agra to Delhi. You visit the 300-year-old Chandni Chowk market. A maze of lanes crowded with shops selling an extraordinary variety of items and food, the noise and crowds are a quintessential part of any Indian market. From here you continue to the Jama Masjid or Friday Mosque. This is India’s largest mosque designed by Shah Jahan and was his last architectural legacy. Originally it was called Masjid-I-Jahanuma, which means “mosque commanding a viewof the world”. In complete contrast to the noise and crowds of Old Delhi, is Raj Ghat, a simple and stunning memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the main architect of India’s independence. You pass through the Red Fort that dominates this area is the landmark. Built-in the mid-17th century by Shah Jahan, it was plundered by the marauding armies of Nadir Shah and later by British soldiers Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Delhi – Srinagar
Assistance on arrival and transfer to Airport to connect flight for Srinagar Assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. After Lunch local sightseeing of Srinagar, In the afternoon enjoy a Shikara Ride on Dal Lake. Mughal gardens like Nishat (Garden of pleasure), Shalimar (Abode of Love), is about 4kms away & set back from the lake. Built by Jahangir for his wife Nur Jahan, the gardens are distinguished by a Series of Terraces linked by a Water Channel. We also visit Cheshmashai (Royal spring) and visit Shankaracharya temple. Later come back to houseboat for overnight stay.
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg.Gulmarg (8,000 ftasl) is a mountain resort of exceptional beauty. You can enjoy pony rides to Maharani Temple & St. Mary's Church (at your own cost). A Gondola ride (cable car) is recommended, which takes you till Kongdori (Phase 1) &Apharwat Peak (Phase 2) which is at one of the highest altitudes in Asia. Also visit Kanchenjunga Museum, Nagin Valley, Khilanmarg, Avantiswami Temple, St. Mary’s Church, Alpather Lake, Lienmarg, FerozepurNallah, ImambaraGoom
Srinagar – Kargil
Post breakfast, we drive to Kargil en route you visit Rizong and Lamayuru monastery. Ride vehicle 1km from resort then take right hand side road at Gyera and enter into the stunning gorge. Continue drive up as far as Chulichan where you will find Nunnery with small temple. Further 3km ride takes you to Rizong monastery that picturesquely built on hill top with imposing view of surrounding wonderful mountains by Lama TsultimNima 150 years ago. This exquisite monastery is located in very isolated place in the middle of huge towering mountains. Drive back to Gyera then continue ride onward to Mulbek. Halt at Lamayuru to visit the beautiful Digung sect monastery, founded on hill top dominating the valley, by Lama Nyimagung. History says that great MahasiddhaNaropa visited this place and the sacred cave where he resided and meditated still to be seen inside the principle temple. After the visit, keep on ride to Mulbek by crossing Fotula-4090m (The highest motor road pass in the Leh-Srinagar highway) as far as Kargil. You pass through several charming villages and spectacular landscape. Check in at hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Kargil – Leh
After breakfast, continue your adventurous with a drive to Leh, A land of varying landscapes, from white desert to blue, ice-capped mountains to lush valley, Ladakh, like a dream captured in a snow globe, is a wildly beautiful milieu set between the Kunlun Mountains and the Himalayas.Located in a small valley just to the north of the Indus River is Leh, the capital of Ladakh, a region often referred to as ‘Little Tibet’? The centuries-old culture of this picturesque capital city has found expression in its monuments, monasteries, oral literature, art forms, fairs and festivals. There will be no activity on your arrival as it is recommended for guests to relax and undergo minimal exertion to enable them to get acclimatized to rarefied oxygen level in this high-altitude region ensconced in the high Himalayan plateau. The rest of the day is at leisure. Leh (Hemis festival)
Today is the day for cultural immersion in and around Leh. Sightseeing will include visit to ThiskeyGompa, one of the most breathtaking monasteries in Ladakh. We would also visit Shey Palace in the vicinity. After that we'd go Hemis which hosts one of the most well-known festivals in Ladakh. After visiting the monasteries, we will drive to Stok Palace Museum which showcases royal artefacts and paraphernalia. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
After breakfast Morning is free. In the afternoon we visit Shanti Stupa, Sankar Gompa, Leh Palace & local markets. Return back to hotel and spend time at leaisure. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.
Leh – Nubrah
After breakfastwe will start our journey to Nubra Valley through Khardungla, which is the World's highest motor able road at 18,832 feet above sea level. At Khardungla pass, experience the snowcapped peaks and the mountain which gives amazing view. Drive through the Valley which is extremely beautiful for photography. Nubra Valley is the Oasis of Ladakh as you see some colourful trees in this region. Arrive Nubra and enjoy adventurous ATV ride (on complimentary basis, one time). Reach at your hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Nubrah – Leh
After breakfast, ride back to Leh with a side visitDiskit monastery, 500 years old Gompa located at an altitude of 3142 meters on the hilltop and witness impressive 106 feet long statue of the Jampa (Maitreya) Buddha facing the Shyok River. Afterwards, proceed to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. Reach at your hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Leh – Pangong
The morning we leave for full day excursion to explore around the Pangong Tso. There are lot of rare birds and wild animals in the vicinity. The lake at 14,500fts is the largest in Asia and its water stretch for more than 100kms from China, Tibet to India. Return to the hotel. Overnight is at the hotel in Pangong.
Pangong – Leh
After sunrise, enjoy your breakfast and check out of the camp and drive back to Leh. Reach Leh by
afternoon, check into hotel and spend time at leisure. You may opt to visit the local market to buy souvenirs for your near & dear ones. Return back to hotel and spend time at leisure. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning after breakfast, we visit Magnetic hill, Patthar Sahib Gurudwara & Indu Zaskar Sangam.
Drive to Likir Gompa, which lies on the right side of Leh - Srinagar road about 4 kms from the main road and is famous for numerous Thankas. Further, drive to AlchiGompa. It bears the name of Alchi from the language of pre-Tibetan Dardic inhabitants. The AlchiChos-khor consists of unique paintings, which may be attributed from the mid to late 11th century and was constructed by the famous translator Rin-chen bzang po. The paintings are characterized according to Tabo and Tholing. Reach at your hotel for dinner & overnight stay
Leh – Delhi
Breakfast is at leisure.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be escorted to the airport to board your flight to Delhi.
